Yes, you can ride with EarPhones. I recommend the Shure E2C earphones. They block out a lot of wind noise, much like ear plugs do, so you don't have to turn the volume up too loud. It also alows you to hear sirens and horns because of the pitch of those sound waves. If anyone tells you that it's too dangerous tell them to suck it. You should be wearing earplugs every time you ride.. The sound of the wind noise at highway speeds is over 130dbs, which can make you deaf. If it's better to wear earplugs then earphones like these are fine. I ride with my MP3 player everywhere I go. I'm accident free and have been riding since 97. You should rely on your eyes, not your ears when riding. Light travels faster than sound, and typically your depth perception is better than your ability to hear the distance or an object. Ride safe.. Keep the shiny side up.
