How long has Laura Mercier been connected with beauty makeup?

Laura Mercier entered beauty school at the age of 16 and upon graduation moved to the United States in 1985. First being hired as the makeup artist for Elle magazine, Mercier was eventually hired as Madonna's personal makeup artist. The Laura Mercier cosmetics line was launched in 1996.
