Can you change your dog blanket after giving birth?

Oh yes you need to change that blanket constantly :0). You need to keep the whelping box as clean as possible. You can also use newspapers, whole or shredded too. Find as many blankets as you can as you will be constantly be changing & washing them. Pups defecate & urinate a lot. The Mom normally eats the pups feces at first but pretty soon there will be too much and she will just flat out say Uuuugh, this is enough! lol. Got to keep that whelping box spic and span. Use diluted bleach to clean the box out, dilute the bleach to one part bleach to about 6-10 parts water. Will kill any parvo virus that is around. I also found putting a tarp under the whelping box helps to catch all the mess too. Keep them nice and warm too. Good luck.
