Who is the most famous food scientist?

Louis Pasteur was an extremely well-known food scientist. Although he worked in other areas, particularly medicine, he was immortalized by the process of "pasteurization", a method of heat-treating milk and other foods to inhibit the growth of harmful microbes without denaturing the food itself.
