Can a memory foam topper be trimmed?

I've been shopping for one on Amazon, and for the one I'm considering, several of the reviewers mentioned trimming their toppers. One person even bought a king size and cut it in half to make two twin size mattress toppers. So, yes, at least some of them can be trimmed.
