Why do gay men shove their sexuality in your face?

They don't do it any more noticeably than heterosexual men - we are just so surrounded by heterosexual activity, advertising, role models, and all the rest of society's norms that the "other" stands out....... look at your world from the point of view of an alien, and see just how much heterosexuality is "in your face".

Familiarity breeds not contempt, but acceptance - and we are so familiar with heterosexuality that we stop noticing it.

Its a defence mechanism they need to have their 'voice heard'. But why is there gay pride parades literaslly parading the difference in your face!ive never heard of a hetro sexual proudness parade. The difference is with straight people its personal and about the relationship and love.(ok the media is sexuallising everything but that's not a real reflection of society)There is such a thing as dignity. Its the way gay men think everyman has a gay side taht annoys people.

A) Marches are a way that those with a girevance bring that to public notice. In almost all jurisdictions, Gay, Lesbian and Transsexual people have huge hurdles to face, just to life a quiet life.

B) Straight people can put their sexuality very much "in your face" watch a predatory male 'handle' a romm with several females he considers 'eligible'

C) Not all gay men anf not all straight men are 'in your face about their sexuality.

D) The media is a real reflection of society - when it is not reflecting society's 'reality' it reflects society's aspirations, in as much as society willingly consumes the media - it is was portraying something society didn't agree with, it would be dropped - imagine trying to publish a newspaper called "The Socialist Worker" in America, or "Republican News" in England?

E) We are none of us 100% anything..... everything about us is on a sliding scale.

Answer:I am gay, and tend to shove it in peoples faces some times. Two reasons which interwine. Firstly they are normally discrimitive, and hate me before they know me. So I say 'What the , lets piss them off' and slap them on the ass a couple of times, and flirt a bit. Reason Two, I get bored. Its very amusing to flirt.
