What is percent alcohol in each liquor?

The vast majority of hard-liquors are sold at 40% alcohol, the exception being whiskeys, which hover around 45%. If they are more or less than 40%, they will make it noticeable on the bottle. Liqueur's (sweet liquors) however range anywhere from 15% (schnapps) to 65% (absinthe) so read the labels.

Wine is usually around 10-15%, domestic bottles usually being higher than imports.

Beer ranges from around 5% (American lagers) to around 12% (Belgian style ales).
