Can you colour over the black outlines in a tattoo?

yea, im pretty sure u can get bout any color u want 2 outline a tattoo

Well yeh, but if you want it to really stand out black outlining is best..

Everything in tattooing needs contrast, put a very dark blue next to a very dark purple and look at it quick and you really might see just one dark blur. Put a black line thru the colors to separate them and it is more identifiable, put a line and some negative space between them and OOh-la-la they sing out their color....

The only place you do not see much outlining at all is in portrait work where an outline might be used to show the eyelids and maybe the lip.......TatuBaron
