How did the Queen Anne's Revenge get its name?

The Queen Anne's Revenge was named after Queen Anne of Great Britain, who reigned from 1702 to 1714. The ship was originally a French slave ship called La Concorde before being captured by the infamous pirate Blackbeard, or Edward Teach, in 1716. He renamed the ship to reflect the British monarchy, which added a layer of prestige and intimidation to his piracy. The vessel became a symbol of his power and influence during the Golden Age of Piracy.
