You can do a lariat in two ways: 1) bead one long strand. You might consider finishing each end with a focal bead. Depending on how long you make your strand, you can fold it in half, wrap it around your neck, and loop the ends through, or you can tie a loose knot around your neck. 2) Bead a long strand with a loop at one end. The end without the loop should have some type of heavier focal bead that will keep the strand pulled taut through the loop. The easiest way to do the loop is to string from the other end, place a crimp at the start of the loop, finish stringing the beads for the loop, and thread the excess wire back through the crimp and close, making a loop.
