Can a minor be held responsible for depositing a money order that was fraudulent?

Yes. Anyone major or minor is responsible for the money deposited into the persons bank account. However since the person involved here is a minor they may not be punished as hard as an adult but still they will be legally prosecuted. Even the minors guardians (parents) will be expected to be answerable in this situation
