Is modeling a sport

Even though there is considerable competition in modeling, it is NOT considered a sport. The models compete, not for sport and recreation, but for a job and to be paid. One may say professional athletes then don't qualify as playing sport, but in that case; money is simply considered the bi-product of ticket sales (or so they claim for humility sake).

Modeling is designed primarily to use for advertising which is just a vehicle for selling product in our capitalistic society.
