Where do we get wood from?

Many different trees give us wood. Certain ones grow more slowly, yet have desireable qualities like strength, high density or beautiful appearance, thus they tend to produce more expensive wood. Pine is a soft and inexpensive wood that comes from the pine tree. Hickory, walnut and oak are pricier, more durable. Most trees can be used for wood, some of which is, of course, used to make paper.
