Here's a few of the ingredients which go into a keeping a great journal: * Journals should be written snapshots filled with sights, sounds, smells, concerns, insights, doubts, fears, and critical questions about issues, people, and, most importantly, yourself. * Honesty is the most important ingredient to successful journals. * A journal is not a work log of tasks, events, times and dates. * Write freely. Grammar/spelling is not that important in your writing. * Try to be consistent. If you can't write a full entry, jot down random thoughts, images ,etc. Reflection Questions: (Suggestion: Do this once a year and reflect over the past 12 months for the answers to these questions) # What events stand out the most and why? # What have I learned over the past year? # What positive changes have I made in my life? # What mistake had the most impact on me? # What bad habits did I pick up? # What books had the biggest impact on me? # If I could go back and change one thing, what would it be and why? Looking Forward to the next year:
looking forward to in my personal life? # How can I increase my service to others? # How much would I like to earn?
