Yes. Methedrine is methamphetamine. Both terms refer to the same chemical compound, methamphetamine hydrochloride. "Methedrine" was a trademark for methamphetamine that was taken out by the Burroughs-Wellcome pharmaceutical company in 1943. It was marketed as a treatment for depression.
