Can racoons breed with skunks

Raccoons and skunks cannot breed with each other as they are different species with distinct genetic makeups. Raccoons belong to the family Procyonidae, while skunks are part of the family Mephitidae. Due to these differences, they are unable to produce viable offspring together.
