Plate service should be clockwise or anticlockwise?

Depends on the establishment. Usually it is standard to begin service with the most senior lady, then serve the rest of the ladies, then the gentlemen and the host last, moving clockwise. Also service in some establishments is ordered by seat position number. Usually facing the kitchen, from the servers perspective, the chair to the left is seat one, the chairs are then numbered clockwise.
