How do you erase all memory from a dell desktop?

there are a few ways to reformat a DELL that came with no recovery disc (some come with the disc--some do not, if you HAVE a recovery disc, simply insert it in the CD/DVD drive and follow the instructions)

1. restart the PC and when the boot (biOS) screen comes up press F11 or F12 to get to the boot menu and look for an option there to reformat.

2. restart the PC, watch the screen for a blue bar at the top of the screen (i think it says www.DELL.com in it) when--and ONLY when--you see the blue bar press "pause/break", this will start the reformat partition on your HD.--NOTE--in some cases i Beleive it may be F11 when you see the blue bar.
