Engine light on 2005 Honda accord?

Most of the posts that I've seen related to the Check Eng Light (CEL) or as the book calls it, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp, is due to a bad seal on the fuel cap. It could be all that you need to do is twist the fuel cap on tighter and it will clear in about 3 days. If not, you should take to a Honda tech and have them scan for the spefiic error code. It might also be a faulty PCM (powertrain control module) or an issue with the coolant system, which would be worse in the long run and could cause serious damage.
